Rihanna is a superstar at home in Barbados. She took home 8 awards from the inaugural Barbados Music Awards in January, 2006. She followed that feat by taking home another 6 awards in 2007.
Rihanna quickly became the most successful pop music export ever from her home nation, the Caribbean island country of Barbados.
