The Bottom Line
At first glance Wallpaper's "F**king Best Song Everrr" should be an embarrassing display of over-inflated ego. After the second time through and the shameless singalong and dance around the room, you might be thinking perhaps the title is correct. Wallpaper, the brainchild of Oakland based pop-funk prodigy Ricky Reed, have been gradually gaining new fans with their ultra-catchy and clever party music. With the signing of the group to Epic Records in December 2011, Wallpaper's ascent accelerated. Sure there is sarcasm and wit here, but it is the warmth suffusing the song that will make "F**king Best Song Everrr" one of your new favorites.

Guide Review - Wallpaper - "F**king Best Song Everrr"
All of the ingredients are here for one displeasing mess of a song. There is the potentially sophomoric ego, cheesy synthesized saxophones, lame sounding catchphrase, "Check my Spanish," celebration of chicks at the party, and ever present party alcohol. So...why does it all work? It works because there is s sense of sincerity to Ricky Reed's effort to create irresistibly fun party music that is unmistakable. This is the territory of LMFAO's runaway smash "Party Rock Anthem." You will want to share this song with your "f**king best friends."
Reportedly Ricky Reed secured an Epic Records major label contract for Wallpaper through demonstration of his genuine musical chops as a funk musician. He may produce party pop for the masses, but he is a serious musician at heart. The thumping beat structure of "F**king Best Song Everrr" is a complex and addictive element of the song and not something that would be a part of a throwaway recording.
A final key element of the package that is "F**king Best Song Everrr" is the accompanying animated music video that was a part of the return last fall of MTV's fondly remembered Liquid Television. It is a surreal celebration of the song and the power of friendship depicted by Wallpaper. If it is not there already, add "F**king Best Song Everrr" to your party soundtrack now. No one will be disappointed.
