The Bottom Line
Here Jason Mraz settles into a relaxed, light reggae-pop groove. Clever lyrics of one more try in love save the tune from being too bland. It took some time getting off the ground, but "I'm Yours" looks like Jason Mraz' biggest hit yet. Fans of Jack Johnson will eat this up.

Guide Review - Jason Mraz - "I'm Yours"
While too much of this style of mellow, light pop with a reggae beat can be cloying, Jason Mraz will slide into pop radio playlists comfortably for those looking for an alternative to Jack Johnson and Colbie Caillat. What might set Mraz apart from the other two is a genuine way with words.
I've been spendin' way too long checkin' my tongue in the mirror
And bendin' over backwards just to try to see it clearer
But my breath fogged up the glass
And so I drew a new face and I laughed
Jason Mraz has flirted with the possibility of pop stardom for a number of years now. With "I'm Yours" it just may be his moment. Lyrical wordiness may put some pop fans off at times, but "I'm Yours" strikes the right balance between his wordy wit and a relaxed, catchy melody. Take a seat on the beach by the campfire, and admire the guy singing and strumming the guitar.
