April 25, 2016 marks 14th anniversary of the passing of Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes

TLC is the best selling American female group of all-time with over 65 million records sold. Consisting of Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins, Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, and i Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes (until her death in 2002), the group recorded ten top ten singles, five number one hits, and four multi-platinum albums. TLC has won numerous honors, including five Grammys, five Soul Train Music Awards, three Soul Train Lady of Soul awards (including Entertainer of the Year), three Billboard Music Awards, and one American Music Award.

TLC was signed to La'Face Records (owned by L.A.Reid and Babyface) and was part of the label's superstar roster which included Usher, Toni Braxton, Outkast, and Pink.

CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story debuted October 21, 2013 on VH1. The group launched a Kickstarter campaign in January 2015 to finance recording their fifth studio album. Their goal was $150,000, and they raised $400,000. Katy Perry, Justin Timberlake, and New Kids on the Block  were among the stars who contributed. Lady Gaga hopes to record a song with TLC she composed called “Posh Life.” In May 2015, TLC joined New Kids and Nelly on "The Main Event" North American tour.

1995 - "Waterfalls"

"Waterfalls" from TLC's 1994 CraxySexyCool album stayed at the top of the Billboard 100 for seven weeks. Billboard ranked it the number two song of 1995 behind "Gangsta's Paradise" by Coolio. It earned Grammy nominations for Record of the Year and Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. The video swept the 1995 MTV Video Music Awards, winning four categories: Video of the Year, Best Group Video, Best R&B Video, and Viewer's Choice.

1994 - "Creep"

"Creep" from TLC's 1994 CrazySexyCool album won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. It was their first number one song on the Billboard Hot 100 and remained at the top of the chart for four weeks. "Creep was the number three song of 1995 behind "Waterfalls" which was the number two song of the year.

1995 - "No Scrubs"

"No Scrubs" was nominated for a Grammy for Record of the Year in 2000, and won two awards: Best R&B Songand Best R&B Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. From TLC's 1999 FanMail CD, the video also won three MTV Video Music Awards: Viewer's Choice, Best Group Video, and Best Hip-Hop Video.

1999 - "Unpretty"

"Unpretty" received Grammy nominations for Song of the Year, Best Pop Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal, and Best Short Form Music Video. Composed by T-Boz and Dallas Austin for the 1999 FanMail album, it was TLC's fourth number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100, spending three weeks at the top of the chart.

Composed and produced by L.A. Reid and Babyface, "Baby-Baby-Baby" from TLC's 1992 debut album Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip was the group's first number one single on the Billboard R&B chart. It reached number two on the Hot 100 and was certified platinum.

"Ain't 2 Proud 2 Beg" was TLC's first single from their 1992 debut album Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip. It hit number two on the Billboard R&B chart and was certified platinum. Composed by Left Eye and Dallas Austin, it was nominated for a Grammy Award for Best R&B Song.

Babyface wrote and produced "Red Light Special" as the second single from TLC's 1994 CrazySexyCool CD. The song was certified gold, reaching number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and number three on the R&B chart. It was nominated for a Grammy for Best R&B Song.

"What About Your Friends" was the third single from TLC's 1992 debut album Ooooooohhh... On the TLC Tip. It was their third consecutive top ten hit, reaching number two on the Billboard R&B chart and number seven on the Hot 100.

"Diggin' On You" was the second single from TLC's 1994 CrazySexyCool CD and was certified gold. It reached number two on the Billboard R&B chart and number five on the Hot 100. Composed and produced by Babyface, it was the group's seventh top ten single.

2002 - "Girl Talk"

"Girl Talk" was the first single from TLC's 2002 3D album. It was co-written by Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes and Kandi Burruss of the group Xscape and released on September 8, 2002, four months after Lopes passed away in a automobile accident on April 25, 2002 in Honduras. It was the group's tenth top ten hit, reaching number three on the Billboard R&B chart.
