1. Fall Out Boy - 'Folie a Deux' - November 4, 2008
Fall Out Boy's last album, Infinity on High, was the band's first chart-topping collection. This time around the group says their work is more straightforward pop/rock. The first single is "I Don't Care."
2. Kanye West - '808s and Heartbreak' - December 16, 2008
Kanye West's first three albums have sold a total of nearly 9 million copies in the US. His latest is expected to be a shift from his typical style with a focus on singing and including little rapping. The first single, "Love Lockdown," was debuted at this year's MTV Video Music Awards.
3. Beyonce - Title Not Yet Available - November 2008
In a similar fashion to her B-Day album being inspired by her work on Dreamgirls, Beyonce's upcoming album is said to be inspired by her work starring as Etta James in the upcoming film Cadillac Records.
4. Nickelback - Title Not Yet Available - November 18, 2008
Nickelback's last album, All the Right Reasons, has sold a towering 7 million copies. It included five top 20 pop singles.
5. Britney Spears - 'Circus' - December 2, 2008
Britney Spears says this album is among the best work of her entire career. A number of the producers from her critically well-received album Blackout are back for this project.
6. David Cook - Title Not Yet Available - November 14, 2008
David Cook is this year's American Idol champion. The first album by the year's winner is always a music industry event.
7. T.I. - 'Paper Trail' - September 30, 2008
T.I. has vaulted to the top of rap circles selling approximately 500,000 copies in the first week of release of each of his last two albums. "Whatever You Like," the first single from this project, leaped to #1 on Billboard's Hot 100 in its third week of release.
8. Jennifer Hudson - 'Jennifer Hudson' - September 30, 2008
Since her Academy Award winning performance in Dreamgirls, this first album from former American Idol contestant Jennifer Hudson has been one of the most eagerly awaited releases. After many delays, we should see it in stores before the end of September.
9. T-Pain - 'Thr33 Ringz' - November 11, 2008
T-Pain's last album, Epiphany, went to the top of the charts and included two top 10 singles. He has since become one of the most valuable supporting players on hit records by others. "Can't Believe It," the first single from this project, is already a top 40 hit.
