Rock band Evanescence has had an impact well beyond what is typical for a band that has released only two studio albums. This week they are back with the first single from an upcoming third release.
1. Evanescence - "What You Want"
Fallen, the first album from Evanescence released in 2003, sold over seven million copies in the US alone. Its follow up, 2006's The Open Door, topped the album chart and sold over two million. Despite personnel issues over the years, Evanescence has also released three top 10 pop hit singles. They are back this week with a strong first single from an upcoming third studio album.
2. Drake - "Headlines"
Drake's first full-length album, 2010's Thank Me Later, was a critical and commercial success topping the album chart and being certified platinum. It generated four top 40 pop hit singles. The new album will be titled Take Care and hits stores October 24, 2011. It includes the #21 pop hit single "Marvin's Room" as well as this new single.
3. David Guetta featuring Sia - "Titanium"
The eagerly awaited fifth studio album from French DJ, producer, and performer David Guetta will not be released until August 26, 2011. However, it has already generated the gold certified single "Where Them Girls At" and the charting song "Little Bad Girl." This is the latest single and it features Australian singer songwriter Sia. She has earned one top 10 dance hit in the US.
4. Alexa Ray Joel - "All I Can Do Is Love"
Alexa Ray Joel is the daughter of quite famous parents, supermodel Christie Brinkley and pop legend Billy Joel. She has generated considerable attention from music critics as well as celebrity watchers. "All I Can Do Is Love" was performed by Alexa Ray Joel on the TV show The Real Housewives of New Jersey. The track is a beautiful, languid song of all encompassing love.
5. Jason Derulo - "It Girl"
Jason Derulo's second album Future History is due out September 27, 2011. It includes the #14 pop hit single "Don't Wanna Go Home" as well as this new track. He has three platinum singles from his first album. "Don't Wanna Go Home" has been certified gold.
6. T.I. featuring B.o.B. - "We Don't Get Down Like Y'All"

7. Miranda Lambert - "Baggage Claim"
Country singer Miranda Lambert will release her fourth studio album Four the Record on November 1, 2011. Her last three studio albums were #1 country hits and the last two hit the top 10 on the overall album chart. Two of her singles have reached the top 40 on the Billboard Hot 100 including the platinum certified Grammy Award winner "The House That Built Me." The increased exposure to pop audiences her husband Blake Shelton gained from his role on The Voice is likely to have brought Miranda Lambert attention from pop fans in an indirect fashion.
8. Nas - "Nasty"
Nas has been one of the most critically acclaimed rap artists for more than 15 years. He also has seven top 10 albums to his credit including four #1s. His next release will be titled Life Is Good and is expected sometime later in 2011. "Nasty" is the first single from the album.
