Katy Perry leads this week's list with a hot pop song that seems to arise from her latest personal life turmoil.
1. Katy Perry - "Part Of Me"
Katy Perry introduced her new single with a performance at the Grammy Awards. The song's lyrics about survival of a bad relationship seem targeted at her recent divorce from Russell Brand. "Part Of Me" will be included on the upcoming deluxe re-release of the album Teenage Dream.
2. One Direction - "What Makes You Beautiful"
British boy band One Direction aim to follow in the footsteps of The Wanted by breaking into the US pop music charts. "What Makes You Beautiful" was a #1 smash hit for the group at home in the UK. The band was formed during X Factor competition from singers who originally auditioned as solo performers.
3. Nicki Minaj - "Starships"
"Starships" is the first official single from Nicki Minaj's upcoming second studio album Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded. It was co-produced by RedOne. Nicki Minaj says about the song, "It makes people feel happy, and that's all I want."
4. Cassie - "King Of Hearts"
It has been nearly six years since Cassie's self-titled debut album hit the top 5 on the strength of the platinum hit single "Me & U." Her second album is as yet untitled but expected to be released in May 2012. "King Of Hearts" is the first single.
5. Estelle - "Wonderful Life"
British singer and rapper Estelle roared to success in the US in 2008 with "American Boy," her collaboration with Kanye West. It reached the top 10, was certified platinum, and won a Grammy Award for Best Rap/Sung Collaboration. "Wonderful Life" is a single from her follow up album titled All Of Me which is due in stores February 28, 2012.
6. R. Kelly - "Share My Love"
With 10 consecutive top 10 studio albums, 10 top 10 pop hit singles, and three Grammy Awards, R. Kelly is one of the most successful R&B singers of all time. "Share My Love" is the first single from his eleventh studio album Write Me Back.
7. Austin Mahone - "11:11"
15 year old Austin Mahone has gained attention via YouTube videos that have gone viral. He has been frequently compared to Justin Bieber. He has risen as high as #28 on Billboard's Social 50 chart.
8. Monica and Brandy - "It All Belongs To Me"
Nearly 14 years ago teenage R&B singers Monica and Brandy hit #1 and sold over 2.5 million copies of their duet "The Boy Is Mine." "It All Belongs To Me" is their long, long awaited follow up. It was co-written and co-produced by Rico Love.
9. Rascal Flatts - "Banjo"
Country band Rascal Flatts have released seven consecutive platinum certified studio albums. Four of those have gone to #1 on the overall album chart. "Banjo" introduces their upcoming eighth studio album Changed. It is expected in stores April 3, 2012.
10. Bridgit Mendler - "Summertime"
19 year old Bridgit Mendler is one of the most recent female teen pop singers to emerge from Disney. She sang on the soundtrack to the 2011 Disney Channel movie Lemonade Mouth. "Determinate," her duet with Adam Hicks, reached the top 30 in digital song sales. "Summertime" is included on the soundtrack to the US release of the Japanese animated film The Secret World Of Arrietty.
