The 1990s were a decade of incredible diversity in pop music from hip hop to boy bands and everything in between. What are your favorite songs from this decade and why? Share your opinions. Share the Best Music

Uhh... No.

No Radiohead? Really? Creep was such an amazing song! Pearl Jam? What about The Verve? An no NSYNC?! Clearly this is wrong.

Very Good but missing something

This chart is excellent! Baby One More Time is no.1! But "I Will Always Love You" should be in the higher position.
—Guest Kusabi

Missing! A lot..

What ... Smells Like Teen Spirit should have been #1. If you were going for the pop sound, where was "Lovefool" by the Cardigans? Nothing by matchbox 20? No Red Hot Chili Peppers or Sublime?! What about "Bitch" by Meredith Brooks? Too many songs were omitted. How about "How Bizarre" by OMC?! No NSync?!

Terrible List

Hip-Hop Soul and R&B ruled the mainstream charts in the 90s. Missing From Your List: Brandy & Monica- The Boy Is Mine Brandy-Have You Ever Monica-Angel of Mine/For You I Will R. Kelly- I Believe I Can Fly Michael Jackson-You Are Not Alone, Scream, Will You Be There Toni Braxton- Un-Break My Heart Christina Aguilera-Genie in a Bottle/What a Girl Wants Destiny's Child-Bills, Bills, Bills So many more...idk 60% of these songs on here and I love multiple genres of music.

Terrible List

No Radiohead, Barely any grunge! This list is missing some of the key components to 90s music. nd Britney Spears as No.1? Over Smells Like Teen Spirit, The amazing song that changed rock n' roll!?! It's like doing a best list of the 70s and putting "Afternoon Delight" above "Stairway To Heaven".

hhhhhm...

I thought I listened to a lot of music back in the '90's... my face was somewhat glued to the TV screen to watch MTV and such, yet there are just too many names on this list I don't know about... and Britney Spears on nr 1... I might throw up lol... but sadly she was popular back then

So Many More Songs to Add...

Does anyone remember Milli Vanilli? Terence, Trent, Darby? Aaron Neville? Whitney Houston's Bodyguard Soundtrack? Color Me Badd? Billy Ray Cyrus? STP? Bush? I was honestly surprised to see Smashing Pumpkins on this list. Everytime I hear one of the bands I listed above, I immediately get taken back to my adolescence in the 90's. Also, what about Belinda Carlisle, Sting (when he made his comeback), Michael Jackson's 'Scream' or 'You Are Not Alone' (the song he made for Lisa Marie Presley). There were SO many good songs. I honestly prefer the 80's just b/c I love the hair bands and it takes me back to my junior high days wearing scrunchies, crimping my hair, slap bracelets, trapper-keepers and all kinds of good stuff. Ahh I'm getting nostalgic over here!!

Torn...apart

Let's face it...everyone was singing Natalie Imbruglia in their care whether they liked it or not. I sure hoped I overlooked it on this list.

Your missing the best song!!!

What about the New Radicals! "You Get What You Give"!!
—Guest arthur

destiny's child

How the hell can you not include a destin'ys child songs or even a few of there songs. Theres a reason there the best selling female group of all time and thats because they have produced amazing songs - so include them.
—Guest joel

uhhhh wow!!

(crossroads) bryan adams, meat loaf, mr. big, shai, ???? just to name a few! even vanilla ice was bigger than some of these on the list

My thoughts

Two songs I really think should've been included: "Mass Appeal" by Gang Starr (1994) and "What It's Like" by Everlast (1999). They may not have charted as high as others those years, but IMO they were more memorable. Would like to hear what others have to say; I for one agree with garsh that "Kiss Me" deserved to make the '99 list as well, and with ilovethe90's that at least one Pearl Jam song should've been included ("Daughter" in 1994?)

ilovethe90's

Where is Pearl Jam on this list? They were one of the greatest bands of the 1990's.
—Guest ilovethe90's

Sublime?

At least get some sublime in here. They have a number of songs that are much better than these songs. This list is mediocre at best

Great List

Fantastic list but I was quite disappointed not to see Bryan Adams in there...
